Balboa Park Reviews
Green lawns, trees, interesting architecture, museums and tons of walking/bicycle paths. Plus being right under the landing path for the San Diego Airport made for a whole new experience. more »
Balboa Park has a lot to offer. The roses are amazing and cohabitate with many different types of cacti. We go to San Diego every year and always make a day out of Balboa Park. There's also museums an... more »
I love it here, we always come here when we come to SD. It's a great place just to bring lunch and walk around. Decent restaurants. The museums are among the best in the country. Don't miss the Aerospace museum, Reuben H Fleet theater, the Natural History and Art museums. But the others are nice as well. The arboretum is beautiful. The rose and cactus gardens are beautiful as well.
A must visit in San Diego!! What a beautiful place that you can spend hours at. The park is absolutely breathtaking! I spent a few hours here but I could easily spend the whole day. Most of the gardens and trails are free to visit. I loved roaming around and exploring. There are tons of places to park and the drive into the park is so pretty. My favorite places I wandered around in were the cactus garden and the greenhouse. Those are not to be missed! I love all the ornate buildings. I enjoyed seeing all the huge trees here. You can truly feel how fresh the air quality is here! There are also several options for dining here as well. I cannot wait to come back again and visit this park!
