The National Museum of the Royal Navy was created in early 2009 to act as a single non-departmental public body for the museums of the Royal Navy. With venues across the United Kingdom, the museums detail the history of the Royal Navy operating on and under the sea, on land and in the air.

  • An interesting museum giving lots of information about the Royal Navy over the years. Items to read and look at, pictures, letters, stories etc  more »
  • A good museum and well presented but I was expecting something more from of the most Navies in the world with a long history. Still worth a visit, especially the part on Nelson  more »

  • The exhibitions are always informative and educational, sometimes even saddening (in a good way). The staff are always friendly. Would recommend the museum as part of a day out in the Historic Dockyard. There's always too much to see in just one day! Prices are reasonable too. Recommend bringing very warm clothing this time of year as it can get pretty breezy!
  • Fantastic experience. If you are buying a ticket for a one attraction, i would highly recommend the HMS Victory ship. What a story and what a legacy. You can see where Lord Nelson got shot and where he died. There are wonderful people inside the ship who knows the history about the ship and stories about the ship.
