Kenwood House, London

4.4
Renowned for the artwork it houses, Kenwood House is a grand, stately home with a beautiful garden and sculptures. Dating from the 17th century, architects and owners of the attraction gradually added a library, portico, offices, kitchen buildings, and a brewery over the years. Today, the brewery serves as a restaurant where you can grab lunch after exploring the lavishly decorated rooms and grounds. Look for the sculptures by Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and Eugène Dodeigne in the gardens, and take a walk through the ancient woodlands. This attraction was also featured in the 1999 film "Notting Hill." A visit to Kenwood House represents just the start of the adventure when you use our London trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • I visited to see Vermeer's work. The palace in the big park and its building exist as a museum. Rembrandt, Tanner, etc. were also very satisfied. The forest is spread around the building, and families and families with dogs visit. It is a sight that cannot be done in Japan.

  • It was a very nice building that was still worth visiting for about an hour by subway and bus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, on the day i visited, the second floor was a grouse, but on the first floor, there were paintings such as Ferrule and Rembrandt, and the library and other rooms were very nice, so I purchased a guidebook for my memories. The garden was in full bloom. The park across from the building was a bank holiday, so there were many people enjoying picnics with their families.

  • The Kenwood house is an amazing museum in the Hampstead Heat park, surrounded by a breathtaking view. The art lovers can enjoy the beautiful paintings, including a Rembrandt, a Vermeer, some Van Dick and numerous Romney and Reynolds, the most curios ones can discover how the various owners lived, and there are plenty of activities and games for children. The entrance is free and there are plenty of volunteers ready to answer any question. Definitely a place to visit!
  • Many wonderful paintings in this beautifully restored property maintained by English Heritage with free admission as directed by the benefactor who left the house to the nation. Really good food too in The Brew House attached. Definitely worth a visit.
