For many, a trip to Khujand happens en route from Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan to the scenic Fann Mountains or Zeravshan Valley.
On the 2nd (Sun), contemplate the waterfront views at Kayrakkum Reservoir, then walk around Somoni park, then learn more about the world around you at Historical Local Lore Museum of Archeology and Fortification, and finally stop by Panjshanbe Bozor. Here are some ideas for day two: pause for some photo ops at Kamal Khujandi Statue, make a trip to Mausoleum of Sheik Muslekheddin, stroll around Park Kamal Khudzhandi, take in the spiritual surroundings of Masjidi Jami Mosque, then examine the collection at House Museum Kamal Khuzhandi, and finally pause for some photo ops at Monument to Ismoil Somoni.
