Serekunda hugs the Atlantic Ocean on one side and faces the Gambia River on the other, both of which provide an escape from the heat when temperatures rise.
Step out of the city life by going to Black and White Safari - Day Tours and Makasutu Culture Forest. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Serekunda: Kartong (The Reptile Farm & Lemonfish Art Gallery), Abuko Nature Reserve (in Banjul) and Tanje Village Museum (in Tanji). Spend the 12th (Tue) exploring nature at River Gambia National Park. Spend the 16th (Sat) exploring nature at Kiang West National Park. The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Katchikally Crocodile Pool, enjoy the sand and surf at Kotu Beach, make a trip to Arch 22, and steep yourself in history at Fort James Island.

If you are flying in from Netherlands, the closest major airport is Banjul International Airport. In November in Serekunda, expect temperatures between 39°C during the day and 24°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
