A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Change things up with a short trip to Palace of Versailles in Versailles (about 48 minutes away). There's lots more to do: admire all the interesting features of Eiffel Tower, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, explore the world behind art at Musee d'Orsay, and head off the coast to Île de la Cité.

Montevideo, Uruguay to Paris is an approximately 19.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Uruguay Time to Central European Time, which is usually a 4 hour difference. In March, Paris is much colder than Montevideo - with highs of 13°C and lows of 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Sun) early enough to drive to Ghent.
