Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and Vila Vella (Old Town). You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Girona Cathedral (Catedral) and Fenals Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Parish Church of Sant Roma (in Lloret de Mar) and Tarragona (Catedral Basilica Metropolitana Primada de Tarragona, Circ Roma, & more). The adventure continues: appreciate the history behind Casa Batllo, admire the landmark architecture of Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, take in the spiritual surroundings of Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Templo del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus.
