Step out of Sapporo to go to Otaru and see Otaru Canal, which is approximately 50 minutes away. Traveling by flight from Busan to Sapporo takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of ferry and train. Traveling from Busan in August, you will find days in Sapporo are slightly colder (27°C), and nights are about the same (25°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Tue) so you can travel to Hakodate.
