Nestled on a cozy harbor surrounded by green forests, the coastal town of Ingonish serves as the perfect coastal retreat for those after a quiet getaway.
Visiting Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Ingonish Beach will get you outdoors. Step out of Ingonish to go to Bay St. Lawrence and see Dolphin & Whale Watching, which is approximately 56 minutes away. There's still lots to do: hike along Middle Head Trail, tour the pleasant surroundings at North Bay Beach, make a trip to Bog Trail, and identify plant and animal life at White Point Hiking Trail.

The largest city on Canada's eastern coastline, Halifax boast a rich maritime history and occupies a strategically important location with one of the world's greatest natural harbors.
Appreciate the collections at Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 and Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Visit Halifax Citadel National Historic Site of Canada and Peggy's Cove Lighthouse for their historical value. Go for a jaunt from Halifax to Peggy's Cove to see Hags on the Hill about 46 minutes away. The adventure continues: take in nature's colorful creations at Halifax Public Gardens, pause for some photo ops at The Emigrant Statue, look for all kinds of wild species at Duncans Cove Nature Reserve, and enjoy the sand and surf at Crystal Crescent Beach Provincial Park.
