While Luxembourg City boasts the shiny headquarters of several European institutions and EU offices, it is also home to a beautiful old town that's designated as a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Fri): don't miss a visit to Place d'Armes, then get to know the fascinating history of Le Chemin de la Corniche, then don't miss a visit to Barrio Grund, and finally take in the dramatic natural features at Casemates du Bock. On the next day, stroll the grounds of Luxembourg American Cemetery Memorial, then examine the collection at National Museum of Art and History (Musee National d'Histoire et d'Art), then step into the grandiose world of Palace of the Grand Dukes (Palais Grand-Ducal), and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Notre Dame Cathedral (Cathedrale Notre Dame).
