Little more than a small town at the turn of the 20th century, Dushanbe grew rapidly during the Soviet era and now serves as the national capital and home to nearly 800,000 people.
Visiting Nurek Dam and Botanical Garden and Zoo will get you outdoors. Get some cultural insight at NOOR ART GALLERY and Gurminj Museum of Music Instruments. Explore Dushanbe's surroundings by going to Hisor Fortress (in Hisor) and Ski Tourism Complex Safed Dara (in Tagob). Fill the 18th (Sat) with excitement at Delfin Aquapark.
