One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.
You'll explore and learn at Acropolis Museum and National Archaeological Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Plaka District and Temple of Olympian Zeus. Start off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): experience the emotional art of opera at Arena di Verona, then take a stroll through Piazza delle Erbe, then explore the galleries of Castelvecchio Museum, and finally take a stroll through Quinzano. Here are some ideas for day two: learn about winemaking at Villa Mosconi Bertani, then identify plant and animal life at Parco Naturalistico delle Cascate-Family, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore.
