Mestia is a highland townlet in northwest Georgia, at an elevation of 1500m in the Caucasus Mountains.General informationMestia is located in the Svaneti region of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti province, some 128km northeast of the regional capital of Zugdidi. Start off your visit on the 10th (Tue): hit the slopes at Khatsvali Ski Resort, get outside with Chaladi Glacier, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Church, and finally examine the collection at Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography. On the 11th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of Ushguli ethnographic Museum and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ski Resort Tetnuldi.

Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sun): learn about winemaking at Baia's Wine and then look for all kinds of wild species at Sataplia Cave and Nature Reserve. On the next day, walk around Central City Park, pause for some photo ops at Monument to Galaktion Tabidze, explore the activities along Shaorskoye Reservoir, then explore the ancient world of Bagrati Cathedral, then take an in-depth tour of Sport Museum, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gelati Monastery.
