The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.
Family-friendly places like Mini-Europe and Musical Instruments Museum (MIM) will thrill your kids. Step out of Brussels to go to Brugelette and see Pairi Daiza, which is approximately 1 hour away. There's lots more to do: browse the exhibits of Atomium, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Michel et Ste-Gudule), pause for some photo ops at Manneken Pis, and examine the collection at Belgian Comic Strip Center.
