Start off your visit on the 9th (Tue): pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia de San Fernando, explore the wealth of natural beauty at The Malabo National Park, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral de Santa Isabel. Protected from the Atlantic by sand spits and barrier islands, Lagos quickly grew into a mega city due to its location, and currently operates one of the continent's largest and busiest ports.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Freedom Park and The Cathedral Church of Christ. Red Door Art Gallery and Black Heritage Festival are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lagos: Lekki (The Henna Place & Eleko Beach).
