The capital and largest city of Serbia, cosmopolitan Belgrade sits on the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers.
Visit Kalemegdan and St. Sava Temple (Hram Svetog Save) for their historical value. You'll explore and learn at Muzej Nikole Tesle (Nikola Tesla Museum) and Military Museum. Explore Belgrade's surroundings by going to Viminacium Archaeological Park (in Kostolac), Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God (in Smederevo) and Sremska Mitrovica (The Special Nature Reserve of Zasavica & Special Nature Reserve Obedska Bara). There's lots more to do: stroll through Ada Ciganlija, enjoy the sand and surf at Ada lake, steep yourself in history at Oplenac, and take a stroll through Knez Mihailova.
