West Africa's first French settlement, World Heritage-listed Saint-Louis (or Ndar in Wolof) shows off its colonial architectural style with an ambience of tranquility and historical charm.
Step out of Saint-Louis to go to Louga and see Lac des Guiers, which is approximately 1h 45 min away. Spend the 31st (Wed) exploring nature at Parque Nacional de la Lengua de Barbaria. There's lots more to do: explore the striking landscape of Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, view the masterpieces at Galerie Ethiopiques, examine the collection at Le Camee, and make a trip to Gandiol.

One of Senegal's fastest-growing cities, Mbour offers proximity to the capital as well as a taste of the culture of Senegal.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Mbour: Plage Popenguine (in Popenguine), Lagune de la Somone (in Somone) and Parc National du Delta du Saloum (in Ndangane). There's still lots to do: stroll through Reserve De Bandia, pause for some serene contemplation at Grande Mosquee Gandigal-Est, don't miss a visit to Joal Fadiout, and stop by Village Artisanal de Saly.
