Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Doge's Palace and Canal Grande. Museum-lovers will get to explore Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Museo Ebraico di Venezia. There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, snap pictures at Ponte di Rialto, enjoy breathtaking views from St Mark's Campanile, and look for gifts at La Bauta.

Bangkok, Thailand to Venice is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and shuttle. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 6 hours traveling from Bangkok to Venice. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Bangkok in August, with highs in Venice at 34°C and lows at 22°C.
