London, UK to Prague is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, bus, and flight; or do a combination of train and flight. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time to Central European Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. In August, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 16°C. You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church. Step off the beaten path and head to Hősök tere and Hospital in the Rock. Spend the 10th (Fri) immersed in therapeutic waters at a local thermal spa. There's much more to do: admire the striking features of Dohány Street Synagogue, examine the collection at House of Terror Museum, explore the historical opulence of Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar), and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).

Fly from Prague to Budapest in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Prague in August, you will find days in Budapest are a bit warmer (32°C), and nights are about the same (18°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can take a train to Vienna.

The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Explore hidden gems such as Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien and Ringstrasse. Visit Belvedere Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral for their historical value. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Imperial Palace (Hofburg), admire the landmark architecture of Schonbrunn Palace, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Karlskirche.

Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Cavtat Old Town and War Photo Limited. Get some historical perspective at Gradske Zidine and Franciscan Monastery. There's lots more to do: step off the mainland to explore Island of Lokrum, contemplate the long history of Stradun, take a stroll through Old Town, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Dominican Monastery.

You can fly from Salzburg to Dubrovnik in 6 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and flight; or drive.
