On the 5th (Wed), take in the spiritual surroundings of Kapelle Winkelmatten "Zur Heiligen Familie", take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn, take in the dramatic natural features at Gorner Gorge, then see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis, and finally stroll the grounds of Mountaineers' Cemetery. The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
Get a sense of the local culture at Fondation Beyeler and The Cathedral of Bern. Shop till you drop at Federal Building (Bundeshaus) and UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern.
