Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) and Wawel Royal Castle. Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
You'll explore and learn at European Solidarity Centre and Museum of the Second World War (Muzeum II Wojny Swiatowej). Malbork Castle Museum and Westerplatte will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gdansk: Kepa Redlowska & Klif Orlowski (in Gdynia) and Mennonite Cemetery (in Malbork). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Old Town, enjoy the sand and surf at Sopot Beach, get a taste of the local shopping with Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka), and trek along Rezerwat Ptasi Raj.
