Explore the jungle just minutes from the city at Peperpot Nature Park. The nature trail winds through dense tropical forest and welcomes walkers and bike riders along its approximately 3 km (1.86 mi) length. Watch for inhabitants like monkeys, sloths, butterflies, lizards, and many species of birds. Informational signage lines the trail, informing visitors about the many different types of jungle flora and fauna that can be found. The staff were very helpful, the path is easy to pass, but not a breeze and 3.2 km long. Make sure you have enough drinking with you and anti-mosquito repellent. You can see several beautiful animals, from large iguanas to monkeys with their young on their backs. While walking she followed through the crowns of the trees, what can they jump, great. Zeer de moeite waard en we hadden het ... more »During our holiday we made a four-day bicycle tour from Paramaribo to Commewijne. The last day we cycled through the plantation Peperpot. Very worthwhile and we were lucky enough to spot a sloth. Visitors ' centre is also worth a visit.
Reasonably comfortable Secure
Beautiful nature and so tranquil. Admission fee is 20 local dollars. Be aware that hiking trail is a few kilometers.
