  • We booked the trip via Sri Tours via Anja and were in Sri Lanka for 12 days. It was a perfectly organized round trip according to our ideas. From the time of arrival you get a private driver who takes over all transports and also guides you through the tour as a guide. This is very pleasant, because you always have the same contact person. There is fresh water in the car every day, there is even Wi-Fi. We drove in a chic mint green Toyota. We made such a cool round trip through the central Sri Lanka, were in Kandy, including railway ride, Nanu Oya, were hiking in Knuckles, visited the ancient capital Polonnaruwa, and did several safaris. To the left and right of it we have visited many temples (Hindu and Buddhist) as well as a tea plantation. Our guide Kal was always with us (except for the train journey) and explained a lot about the history of the country, flora and fauna of the wildlife as well as Buddhism and Hinduism. He really has great knowledge without which, for example, Polonnaruwa would not have been so informative. What was also very nice was that you never felt like he was "swarming" us a little bit. For example, we had Against a visit to the elephant orphanage, he decided what he offered us optionally. This was not a problem at all and we went straight on. Sometimes we felt like he was in a bit of a hurry, but that didn't really affect our trip. The hotels booked by sri tours were good to very good by the bank with very nice service staff. Currently, after the attacks, however, tourism in Sri Lanka suffers from a lot of cancellations, so that the accommodations were not even partially well occupied. Partly we were the only guests there and enjoyed an all-round supply. Also, the fact that we had planned a 4-day stop on the coast for diving during the round trip was not a problem in the overall organization. The only shortcoming was the selected tea plantation of Damro. There was only a short lead, unfortunately only cold, stale tees to taste, which was not so bang now. Overall, however, the whole thing was a great tour organized down to the last detail, which we (except the teeplantage) would do again. The price-performance ratio is great, you have to take care of almost nothing on site. Clear recommendation for Sri Tours.

  • In April we (2 girlfriends) were in Sri Lanka for two weeks. For 11 days we enjoyed a very individually planned tour by Anja Kainz (Sri Tours) together with us, on which our DriverGuide Piyumal Neranjan led us excellently. Every morning he had decorated the place between our seats with other fresh flowers for us. In addition to the fantastically elaborated program, he suggested to us some additional places that we could look at, bought for us the local delicacies, which we enjoyed gladly, and introduced us to nice people who gave us insights into their everyday life. Granted. Especially, however, we remembered the morning trekking tours, on which we had already climbed many mountains together at sunrise. These were really magical moments! Thank you, Piyumal! The hotels were very well selected by Anja Kainz and she proved an excellent local knowledge in the compilation of the route. The final Boutique Hotel Lantern, where we spent the last 4 nights, was also excellently selected. Sri Lanka is a real pearl for us (we have travelled to many Asian countries) that unites the entire diversity of Asia. The nice people, the diverse wildlife and the varied landscape between coast and highland are absolutely fascinating. We will definitely come back and very much hope that tourism will recover quickly.
