To see Saint Petersburg from a different perspective, take a walk or boat tour along Neva Embankments. City planners originally built these embankments of wood and sand, intending to stabilize the riverbanks and provide the city with much-needed flood protection. During the final decades of the 18th century, as Pushkin put it, "the Neva dressed herself in granite." In addition to providing necessary flood control, the granite embankments transformed the appearance of the growing city. The landmark steps, sculptures, and docks along the river, designed by some of Russia's most prominent architects, gave Saint Petersburg the elegant look of a modern city. • The river Neva has a lot of embankments. Anyway, all of them are connected with a lot of legends and myths. Walk on them pleasantly in good windless sunny weather, which in St. Petersburg-a rarity. Neva River is wide, is dressed in granite and in cloudy weather acquires color of steel. Do not walk at least one of the waterfront beautiful city is simply impossible.

  • All guests who come to our beautiful city, necessarily get to the embankments of the Neva, clad in granite. Not I bet, it is a very fascinating spectacle, especially beautiful looks from the side of the pleasure boat. And I understand perfectly well that besides contemplation of quays, it is necessary to have time to examine, both the Hermitage, and Isaaki, and Kazan and Nevsky, and other beautiful places in St. Petersburg and suburbs quite a lot. Time is not enough katostrofiki, but in addition to the ceremonial embankments, located in the city, there are just banks of the river Neva, which stretches for 74 km. From the fortress of Orezek. To fully realize the beauty, it is desirable to pass on the ship the whole river. I think that you will get a hundred krat more impressions. But the time...... Time for everything is missing. Come again, and more and more!
