Tsarskoye Selo State Museum Preserve, Pushkin

Part of a World Heritage Site, Tsarskoye Selo State Museum Preserve previously served as home to the Russian imperial family and visiting royalty. Built in the 1600s, the palace originally belonged to Swedish nobility until Peter the Great gave it to his wife, Catherine I, in 1708. Now you can visit this Russian Baroque palace and view its collections of art, furniture, and decor. Tour the grounds--including the park and gardens surrounding the palace--and discover the lifestyle and aesthetic tastes of the last of the Romanov dynasty.
