  • We visited the exhibition of Vereshchagin and it was delightful:) Big queues were worth it. The gallery itself is beautiful and groomed. There are all necessary pointers and explanations. Nice staff.

  • A fundamental exhibition of Ilya Repin's works is held in the Tretyakov Gallery on the Crimean shaft from March 16 to August 18. The artist in our country is famous for his large-scale canvases "Burlaki on the Volga", "Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan" and others. However, the greatest impression on me was made by the skill and depth of revealing the image of the Repina-portraitist. In the image of his family-wife and two daughters-amazes the camera image and filigree mastery of different techniques: from Classicism to Impressionism. The attention is drawn to a series of portraits of famous people-contemporaries of the artist: Mussorgsky, Stasov, Tolstoy. Self-portraits of the artist, written throughout his life, allow you to look into the inner world of the artist.

  • Very interesting and original exhibition. In a big communist building it is very worthy to take a look at the most known paintings of the contemporary art in Russia. The temporal exhibition, is easy to access and the guides are available in every language.
  • I enjoyed the visit to this gallery tremendously. One will need a few hours to really see the permanent exposition. I have little knowledge of the Russian masters but it was a real opener for me. I can recommend it to everyone, renting the audio is advisable.
