It is classified and owned by the city of Faro who rehabilitated it. Many things to admire: the facades with pink mortar, the neo-classical rooms, neo-Baroque, see Rococo where the influence of Louis XV style is guessed, the French gardens with multiple basins, stairs, sculptures, azulejos... Palm trees and jacaranda blossoms in May. In short, you have a visit to do without hesitation, but avoid the hours too hot, because the area is vast and somewhat "sporty" to travel.

We were very fond of the charm of the connection old and new and enjoyed the spacious quiet modern rooms. We found the breakfast so good, and can't understand the other comments on it. The pool is also very pleasant and not overly stressed. A few things would need a makeover, such as the entrance area, parts of the gardens,.. The pool terrace floorboards, but these are just trifles
What a fantastic and beautiful place to visit. Spectacular building and gardens. Photos to die for. Quite easy to park nearby and you can get food and drink on the premises. Well worth a visit.
Booked and paid extra for a superior triple room. Got a cot on the floor against the balcony door. When asked for management the reception is not authorized to give out that information. I was told that I was the third person that day that complained about it and was told that all I can do is write a complaint. Was told that management knows of the issue and is unwilling to resolve this. The room is also missing a lot of things, especially for the 3rd person. I've stayed at a dozen hotels in the Small Luxury Hotel line and this is not up to standard. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. I'll be contacting my Visa infinite card to do a charge back.
