Usuma Lower Dam is a non flowing facility which supplies water for treatment and distribution for Abuja municipality. The dam is located in Ushafa village between a few hills. It is being operated by the FCT. Permission is required to gain access to the area and it's being guarded by uniformed security. Control channels and distribution patterns are well constructed to regulate the level and flow of water during the rainy and dry season. Swimming is highly prohibited within the dam.
