Vallee d'Ait Mansour, Tafraoute

#2 of 9 in Trails in Morocco
Hike along Vallee d'Ait Mansour, a gorge snaking through the Lesser Atlas range between rocky and barren slopes. Stretching for some 10 km (6 mi), the valley has abundance of water with lush vegetation featuring palm groves, almond and olive trees, and villages perched atop steep cliffs. View panoramas of permanently green oases and cliffs colored from dark to pink interspersed with layers of grey tones. You can drive through the gorge or take an old mining trail; you'll find some teahouses along the road.
