Admire the blend of different architectural styles at Jamek Mosque, the oldest mosque in the city. Built in 1909 by British architect Arthur Benison Hubback, the main building combines Moorish, Indo-Saracenic, and Mughal influences, with impressive whitewashed arches and a tall, striped minaret. Situated where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet, the grounds provide a tranquil place to walk and explore, with lush palms and the rivers idling by. Make Jamek Mosque a centerpiece of your Kuala Lumpur vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Kuala Lumpur trip itinerary planner.

Jamek Mosque Reviews

這座清真寺位處市中心，在逛過附近廣埸與市集後，作為到下一站唐人街前的景點，讓人感覺繞路到來也值得，走過來前拍了不同角度的照片 more »This mosque is located in the city center, after visiting the nearby market, as the scene in front of the next Chinatown, so that people feel that the road is also worth it, before walking to take pictures of different angles
Clean and quiet place in a big bustling city. non muslim woman must wear a full body and head covering. men if not wearing pants must put on clothing to cover legs. both provided on site free of charge. nice to wander around.
For those who are not from this country and wanted to travel a historical places or wanted to know about Islam, their prayers and also mosque, I prefer you to go to this place because their service is good, their environment is also clean and beautiful. Before you explore the place, you need to register your name first. There's a lot mosque that you can visit other than this Jamek Mosque of Sultan Abdul Samad such as Wilayah Mosque , etc. Not only tourist can visit this places, citizens also are invited too.
