  • Fantastic museum to understand Lithuania a little more. It had a range of artefacts from all points in history, with lots of information. Well worth paying the very affordable entry fee.  more »
  • When I bought a ticket for 3 euros, asked the caretakers, why the bell tower Tour in 10 minutes, is 4.5, and the National Museum only 3? They replied that they do not understand. The museum is really interesting, high-quality, there is something to look at. Here and to be Lithuanians of the past centuries, and the history of relations with Russia and Poland. Surprised and pleased huge number of children of junior classes on excursions, the child and with the history of the country meets and plays simultaneously. My tour took a little more than an hour, was satisfied, I recommend everyone to understand how a small and beautiful country saves its history.

  • An incredibly detailed "replica" palace. While there isn't that many actual artifact objects, the information presented on the history, and heritage, of Vilnius's origin, and rise/fall of power, is detailed and of high quality.. Yet perhaps the more important message is in the medium... Maybe it's the fact of Lithuania having invested so much into this project (16 years construction, costing ~€100 million), having taken so much care in trying to reproduce this period replica, that's the real story, of a nation painfully trying to regain and rebuilt a history that was purposefully and methodically dismantled in its recent past.
  • Great place to visit. Entrance was just 3 EUR and there are lots of interesting things collected. I loved ethnographic expozition with reconstruction of typical traditional Lithuanian households. And especially interesting is exposition about unique Lithuanian art called Cross crafting.
