Kuwait Towers, Kuwait City

3.9
The city's signature landmark and the nation's most recognizable symbols, Kuwait Towers offer 360-degree views of the city and the Gulf. The three towers--with characteristic blue-green spheres covered with more than 41,000 enameled discs--were constructed during the 1970s. Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed chose the design, which resembles a tiled dome of a mosque. The highest tower rises 187 m (614 ft) above the ground, featuring observation decks on two levels, plus a revolving restaurant and a cafe. In March 2016, the towers opened to the public after a major four-year refurbishment process. • Iconic place for Kuwait. There are two towers, we can enter one. It has a restaurant and a snack n coffee bar. Entry fee is there. From the tower you can see entire city, best view. If you go in the evening time, you can see the sun set in fabulous angle. I have been there many times...
  • The Kuwait Towers are a group of three slender towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were the sixth, and last, group in the larger Kuwait Water Towers system of 34 towers (33 store water; one stores equipment), and were built in a style considerably different from the other five groups. The Kuwait Towers were officially inaugurated in March 1979 and are regarded as a landmark and symbol of modern Kuwait. Visitors can experience world class hospitality at 82m above sea level, featuring international open buffet served daily and during the following hours: Family Breakfast on Weekends and Public Holidays Breakfast 8am – 11:30am (Ladies Breakfast from Sundays – Thursdays Only) Lunch 12:30pm – 3:30pm and Dinner from 7:30pm – 11:30pm
