Inspect the 11-headed, gilded wooden statue of the goddess Kannon at Hase-dera Temple. One of the largest in Japan, and reputedly carved in 721 CE, the 9.18 m (30 ft) idol remains one of the main draws of this Buddhist temple, along with the striking architecture and museum of the temple's artifacts (including more statues). Explore the seven buildings of this mountainside pilgrimage site, which also has a lengthy underground tunnel. Enjoy peaceful reflection in the picturesque gardens, meditating over the peaceful koi ponds and year-round splendor. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Sakurai holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Hase-dera Temple and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

The height of the stage is low and it was hard to match the stride below, but because it becomes one step higher gradually, please climb it with the mind. It's not that long, so it's a little hard. Lol Because it touches the foot of 11-sided Kannon Bodhisattva by chance, I paid a fee of 700 yen extra. There is the entrance next to the main hall, and it passes through the passage of the ceiling which is low enough to hit the head if the tall person is absolutely, and it passes through the wooden door to the foot of bodhisattva. What surprised me is the big thing of bodhisattva!! Well...

  • Just touch the foot of Kanzenon Bodhisattva and get the five-color line, 1,300 yen is too high including the entrance fee!! When I visited Muro-ji temple after Haseji, a beautiful toilet was newly established, and I was very happy. I want you to consider the establishment of a comfortable restroom for the sake of the people of the people.
