In this hillside oasis, you'll find myriad statuary, wild birds, and a coffeehouse with strong Italian coffee and views of the red-roofed city and hills beyond. Sit beside one of the tree-shaded fountains, then stroll through the wisteria-canopied walkways. There's also a museum next door where you can catch interesting exhibits and concerts. • More intimate than its neighbour Boboli, this garden offers one of the most beautiful views of Florence. It runs quickly even if the first climb in laces is a bit steep. There is a large pergola of wisteria and a hydrangea aisle that must be beautiful during their flowering period.

  • We had walked from Boboli, following the signs, but missed the door on the way down, which is not at all well signposted. We went all the way into town before approaching the gardens via the elevator ...  more »

  • Absolutely magical spot. I loved my time here walking around the gardens, taking pictures of the statues, and just lounging about.Bring a full battery since there are so many photo opportunities in this place.Side note: Pre-planned my trip but unfortunately had to rearrange my itinerary since this place wasn't accenting any more people into the gardens (I arrived at 3:30).
  • Absolutely beautiful garden and a lovely quiet respite from the crowds below. The views are amazing, but there plenty to see in the garden itself. We went end of March and had gorgeous weather and the garden almost all to ourselves. The wisteria was just starting to blossom , so end of April would probably offer full bloom over the amazing pergola. We were later in day so we’re unable to use our combined Bardini/Boboli ticket for both. Give yourself enough time to stroll, take lots of photos, and enjoy the solace. Highly recommend.
