  • This became one of our most favorite Cretan gorges – averagely demanding (not too much climbing but generally quite long) and with the best taverna in the destination (Таверна Апосперида). Don’t miss the return from Perivolakia the other way – over the hills with stunning views (perhaps to Africa??).
  • Amazing walk, I would not say it is easy and if you are not keen on heights some part would be a bit scary. Path is really well marked though and the scenery is stunning. Vultures, and Swifts flying around and even saw a Blue Jay. Walked down the hillside path back to the Monastery, not as spectacular but very scenic.
