Mercedes-Benz Museum displays more than 160 vehicles, some of which date back to the earliest days of the motor engine. Located at the carmaker's international headquarters, the museum focuses on the company's history. Opened in 2006, the museum is an architectural attraction in its own right. It resembles a cloverleaf, with three overlapping circular structures that cover about 4,800 sq m (52,000 sq ft). Be sure to take advantage of a chance to tour the nearby diesel engine factory. To ensure your spot on the tour of the museum and the factory, book your tickets well in advance. Do visit at least once... great place. A very well designed museum, with interesting exhibits. Starting in time from highest up and continuing spiraling down on a ramp you move forward in time and see all the fantastic cars and engines. Included is an audio guide that enhances the experience. I think even persons not so much interested in cars, would have a good time here. This is the vehicle story museum where you also get insight to the historical background and the society that has created the Mercedes company. Very much enjoyable for not only car enthusiasts and engineers, but also other non technical family members, like your wife or female kids! great museum for the whole family!
Really cool place, especially for car lovers. Admission is affordable and there are discounts for groups and under 18s, students, unemployed and over 65s. The staff is friendly and speak English. The vehicle collection there is pretty nice with many different cars. The audio guide is quite helpful and it provides extra information. Some of the exhibits are interactive. When you are done with your visit you get a free lanyard. The gift shop has a good variety of items but many of them are not really affordable.
