Reeperbahn, Hamburg

1.7
#3 of 7 in Neighborhoods in Hamburg
Reeperbahn undoubtedly holds the title as one of Hamburg's most interesting streets. It's home to both the city's red-light district and many of its most popular clubs. You can wander the avenue and take in the sights without partaking. This street traditionally has featured adult shows and shops. While the industry has receded a bit, remember that prostitution is legal here. Therefore, this street may not be suitable for children. Be sure to explore the side streets; Grosse Freiheit includes a Catholic church. Make Reeperbahn a part of your Hamburg vacation plans using our Hamburg day trip planning site .

  • Reeperbahn at night is a mandatory visit for anyone who comes to our beautiful city. This road is synonymous with the neighborhood and is often referred to as the Mile or a sinful mile. There is much more to it than one suspects. Theatre, clubs, itself a travel agency for the Kurcent-closed. And yes, of course also erotic offers in the various erotic shops, cinemas and among the ladies of the trade. The unsightly side of the road often shows up by day, then it is there rather grey and somewhat dingy. A lot is being renovated, redesigned and yet-somehow, color doesn't come in. Whether it might be due to the neon-lined over-stimulation at night? But actually that is exactly then also a must-if you know the Kiez at night, you must have seen it by day. Isso!

  • Reperbahn Street is located in the Hamburg area of St. Pauli. The length of the street is almost a kilometer. The Germans call it the "sinful mile." Here are the most, so to speak, evil places - various bars, discos, strip clubs, sex shops, cinemas, brothels... Of course, most of these establishments do not work during the day. Prostitution is legalized here at certain hours. If you're interested in all this, it's better to come here in the evening, and even better at night. Here you can come off well and find adventures on your ass (sometimes literally). But so the street makes not a very good impression, because here, to put it mildly, is not very clean. All these establishments are "stumbled" in disarray, so that the architecture of the street does not please the eye. You don't have to visit this place. But personally, I was very interested to see it all. There's a beautiful old police station building here, and I've never seen such a "fun" McDonald's anywhere else. It's just fun! )))
