Kotu Beach, Kotu

#1 of 11 in Parks in Gambia
Relax, stroll, or swim at Kotu Beach, a West Coast stretch of golden sand fringed with coconut palms. A popular tourist resort and village with many amenities make for an ideal base if you wish to explore the area's many diving opportunities. At this beach, shallow waters stretch some 25 m (82 ft) from the shore, and a marked swimming zone patrolled by lifeguards provides ample space for inexperienced or very young water lovers to test their skills safely.
