Nous avons fait l excursion snorkelling 3h avec Tikehau Plongée et avons eu la chance de voir une raie manta! Merci au moniteur Ermel. Super moniteur more »We did the snorkelling excursion 3hours with Tikehau Diving and had the chance to see a manta ray! Thanks to the ermel monitor. Super monitor
Wow- the diving was unbelievable. We swam with sharks, a turtle, and saw a pod of dolphins. That was all within about 10 minutes. What was more incredible was the clarity of the water. 60-70ft of visibility! I ruined pictures by using my depth filters. Our favorite part was all of the fish. It honestly felt like a metropolitan of fish. There were thousands around us for most of the dives. I thought maybe we interrupted the morning fish commute. (And this wasn’t because the guides had bait!) Guides: very good. I think there was some initial confusion and so it felt like the group was running late. We were rushing to get in the water. I am not sure because most of the boat spoke French and so I might have missed something. Though rushed, I felt safe in the water. Dive sign language is pretty universal. After our first dive everyone was calmer and we joked and had fun.
Super friendly staff who are willing to model dives around the skill levels of the divers. We had a few beginners in our party and the instructors took them down individually, helping with bouyancy control and pointing out interesting sea life. The rest of us were significantly more advanced and got a couple of great dives appropriate for our experience level. Prices are very reasonable and they had no problem letting us stop by the shop several days after the dives to settle the bill (CFP francs required if you want to pay in cash, none of us had any).
