  • Beautiful place that this Museum, not too big and beautiful works of painting, from the Middle Ages until the 19th century more, the Palace of Rohan is worth the detour and, from the Museum, we have a beautiful view of the Cathedral

  • It was a little while that I was not returned "see the paintings at the Castle" the retreat sometimes makes you slip towards a form of laziness... What was not my surprise to rediscover the showrooms repainted in sustained shades that highlight both the architecture of this Palace and the paintings and their beautiful carved frames. The collections are beautifully highlighted and the pieces have a singular character that previously did not appear in uniformity. The hooking was also reviewed and the visitor's journey is much clearer now. There are really endeant works that we enjoy discovering or seeing. Go on, get upstairs to this beautiful building! You will also enjoy superb views of the Cathedral in a moving proximity. The South flan finishes its renovation, it's beautiful.

  • An impressive collection of art from the Renaissance to the late 19th century. Well displayed, well lit and spacious. Ask for a free audio guide at the entrance. It's not very clear where the entrance is - essentially this is the first floor of the building. If you are short of time, this is more interesting than the Museum of Decorative Art on the ground floor.
  • Greeted with one of the those dreaded hand written signs that are all to common in France: museum is closed. In this case for most of the month of February. Of course the website, such as it is, makes no mention of this. Amusingly, the archaeological museum in the same building also had a hand written sign. They were closed due to a strike. A third museum in the building (Decorative Arts) appeared to be open.
