Chateau d'Auvers, Auvers-sur-Oise

3.1
#2 of 19 in Museums in Val-d'Oise
Chateau d'Auvers dates back to the early years of Louis XIII and provides a historic view of royal France. Inside the castle, wander the lavish hallways and admire the historical art and furniture of those years. Outside, enjoy the French gardens and landscaping. The first terrace at the foot of the castle offers an unobstructed view of the city, the valley of the Oise, and the forest of l'Isle-Adam. The second terrace is confined to the southeast corner in a pavilion gazebo. From the third terrace, you can access an orangery facing a circular basin. A labyrinth of hedges and a collection of old iris complement these features. • It's vacation season, so it's a lot of fun, but it's so crowded that it's like a chair-up, and there were times when people were talking all the time while listening to the animation, and it was hard to hear the voices of the voices. The exhibition was wonderful, and the companions who were not interested in impressionism were interested in it.

  • It's a place you can avoid. Despite a promising multimedia installation on paper, the sauce does not take, for lack of a slightly soft realization that does not highlight the paintings. We enquire the videos that all look the same and end up escaping the last, a little drunk. A missed opportunity that doesn't really pay homage to painters or paintings. We don't dream, we don't get carried away. meh. Van Gogh and the others deserve better! Where are the colors?

  • Small and beautiful town, you can reach it by train and cars, the castle is not so big, but it contains a good museum which shows you the story of artists of that town. But the most beautiful thing that I like it so much is the library of the train station, yaaay I will visit that library in the future I'm sure 😉
  • Walk through a series of conventional art and digital installations.
