The National Museum of Finland Reviews
Perhaps not of great interest to many foreigners, but a wide variety of well displayed Finnish artifacts. more »
Для знакомства с историей Финляндии, наверное, следует посетить этот музей. Здесь собрана хорошая экспозиция на религиозую тему. Here is a good exposition on the religious theme. Artfully made iconostasis and figurines of the Middle Ages are presented in two large halls. There is an exposition with stone axes and hunting equipment. The period when Finland was part of the Russian Empire is represented by the throne room, where you can be at the reception of the emperor with the help of an interactive camera. It is interesting to look at the mock-up of the Smoke Hut and the 1939 War Exposition. It is a pity that there is no audio guide in Russian language. The ticket costs 12 euro for adults.
Located on an old castle, you can walk Finland history from the early stone age until today. Very well presented. Is a high quality museum. The restaurant with its buffet is all tipical, tasty and cheap
Japanese performance is free every day. Very interesting collection. Also, you can see many interesting collections of dress, cups, bikes, digital objects. The national museum also you can visit free on Friday from 4.00- till 6.00 p.m. If you want to pay, you can visit every day. But I think it is better to visit free than pay money because it is not so cheap, around 15 euro.
