St. Catherine's Passage, Tallinn

4.4
Wander under stone archways surrounded by medieval shops on St. Catherine's Passage. Thought to date back to the 14th century, the street connects ruins of a centuries-old church to the old town's Vene Street. Step into the secluded world via a small gateway on Vene Street and stroll the cobbled walkways lined with tombstones. Stop by craft shops in many of the medieval houses and watch demonstrations of glass blowing and the like. Look out for the timeline of Estonia's history, which is laid into the ground along the way. • It's a passage near the wall and the front door. You have the Imresión to be in a medieval city. You can take very nice pictures.

  • It is a place you have to see - walk up it - it is history and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we did  more »

  • It is very nice and colourful - in the heart of Tallinn. This half-hidden walkway runs behind what used to be St. Catherine's Church. It's home to the St. Catherine's Guild, a collection of craft workshops where artists use traditional methods to create and sell glassware, hats, quilts, ceramics, jewellery, hand-painted silk and other wares.
  • Such a beautiful spot, as if it has remained unscathed by time! Medieval metal music was a major plus while passing by this place (I think it was from the doll museum that's there). Don't miss it 😉
