Home to some of the most important and iconic structures created by man, Giza Plateau encompasses a barren area of sandy desert with the three Pyramids of Giza, now a World Heritage Site, as well as the enigmatic Great Sphinx sculpture. Take in the scale and historical importance of the main structures, either from the outside or on a tour of one of the pyramids' interiors. The tallest and oldest of the pyramids, the Great Pyramid of Giza, stands as the last intact of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The views were breathtaking. I was so excited to finally reach the great pyramids. The feeling was just indescribable. There are some things in life you just need to experience once and this was definitely one of those moments. It was a pleasure to visit Cairo and Giza.
There are simply no words to describe the emotion being in front of these 4,500 years old pyramids!!! 5 star is not enough for the beauty and still the mystery around these constructions. However, if I had to rate the organization from the entrance kiosk, to the guidance on the site itself, I would rate this as ZERO! The rip-off starts at the entrance where you get lost with the prices shown; you do not know what is included in your main fee and how many pyramid entrances are included if you add this option. The site is simply an open dustbin, and you can find coca cola cans on the actual pyramids, not to mention the non respect of these monuments by people climbing all over the place. The fault being in the lack of controls from the locals... simply unacceptable! Do not get camel or horse tours; poor animals are mistreated and hurt by their owners.
