Garden Park Must See
Pay attention as you walk through Parque Seminario, or you might trip over one of the park's namesake lizards. The small square, once the main one in the city, gradually fell into disrepair over the years, until it was essentially taken over by a significant population of iguanas. Nowadays the large reptiles live in harmony with the humans who use the park, even deigning to pose for the occasional touristy photo. Don't worry if an iguana approaches you--it won't bite, and might climb up onto your leg if you're lucky. • Unmissable place to visit Guayaquil, is located in the center of the city, and its characteristic apart from the centenary trees with which it has, are its unthinkd inhabitants, large iguanas such as those found in the island region (Galapagos), Colonial-era park with that characteristic, period trees and iguanas make an unparalleled visit

  • It has been 9 years and I return to tour the park, which continues to keep its appeal intact. Careful when walking under the trees, remember that the park is theirs (the iguanas) and do not worry about who is going under them. ;-)

  • I was really surprised they clean here. If you come on a busy day, expect tourists, locals, everyone feeding not just iguanas, but also pigeons. Also expect some rats here. There are several benches where no one usually sits. All in all, this is not a park to walk, but rather to sit and chill and people watch. Beautiful during the evening hours.
  • The famous iguana park in Guayaquil! Proper name, since it's loaded with iguanas. You can even touch some of them as they're quite calm. Good to take pictures. Beautiful church on the next block. Free entry to the park!
