Designmuseum Danmark showcases a relatively small collection of Danish design classics from phones and stereos to chairs and kitchen utensils. Look for Royal Copenhagen and Georg Jensen tableware. Each year the center also features a number of special exhibits on both Danish and international design. The building houses a gift shop, conference rooms, and a cafe offering a traditional cafe layout in a modern lounge environment. Get a quick cup of coffee to go while roaming through the exhibits, or stay put for a cup of tea and a croissant. We admire the work of the designers. The exposure of the chairs is very well made, beautiful photos to make.

This museum houses some of Denmark's most peculiar designs including furniture, artifacts and others. It mostly features modern and out of the box designs, which are typical of Danish artists. It is well organized and appealing for the spectator but it might not be for everyone. The place has some interactive spots where people can color and create their own prints with a variety of colorful crayons and markers, which I thought was a great touch especially when visiting with children. Included with the Copenhagen Card so worth a stop if you're in the area.
For such a physically small place there is a bunch of cool stuff. (Note: This is an art center where one goes “that’s cool” and not a place of awe.) In spite of that, if you’re into chair design be ready to be turned on like never before when you enter into a hallway filled with chairs stacked 3-high from floor to ceiling on both walls.
