Narodni galerie v Praze, Prague

4.2
Narodni galerie v Praze is a series of 20 monumental artwork--inspired by the mythology and history of the Slavs--by famous Art Nouveau painter Alfons Mucha. He worked on the pieces between 1911 and 1926, thanks to the support of wealthy Chicago businessperson and philanthropist Richard Crane. In his paintings, you can see the original homeland of Slavs, the battle of Grunwald, Holy Mount Athos, the coronation of the Serbian Tsar Stefan Dusan, the apotheosis of the Slavs, and other key episodes from the Slavic past. Mucha and Crane officially presented the series to the city of Prague as a gift to the nation on the 10th anniversary of its independence in 1928. • Building, big "like everything in the USSR", which has nothing to fill. A little bit of that--Dugogo. The best was the exhibition of photos of the First World War. There are not many visitors. Suitable for those who have no experience in visiting good famous museums. Absolutely not recommend the café on the ground floor. All the food is not fresh.
