Připojuji se se zkušeností ze včerejšího výletu. Překvapilo mě množství lidí,které jsem zde potkal. I was surprised by the number of people I met here. Literally "head on head". Otherwise, a very nice place worth seeing. The location is well accessible by public transport. E.g. Bus from Č. Budejovice to the Stop Nove Hrady-Valley and back from the village Světví to Údolí with transfer to the bus back. Alternatively, drive to N. Castles at the bus station and from here by bus to Nové Hrady-Jakule on the train to Budejovice. More details in a more comprehensive photo report within my blog. Terčino údolí je vyhlášená lokalita v sousedství Nových hradů. Ve skutečnosti se jedná o umělý lidský výtvor, který dal vybudovat hrabě Jan Nepomuk Buquoy na popud své manželky hraběnky Terezie. In fact, it is an artificial human creation, which gave the build of Count Jan Nepomuk Buquoy to the impulse of his wife Countess Theresa. It is an English park built around the stream of the river Stropnice. Today's Park is very well signed by tourist signs and information boards. Only their numbering is very confusing, obviously these are older and newer markings. However, an average observant visitor will be well-oriented. Due to the number of benches and quite flat terrain, this is a very undemanding walk you can handle, at least to the Wenceslas baths, or to the spa, and also with a stroller. The "most challenging" terrain is roughly around the blue House towards the waterfall and even thanks to the roots of the trees. The waterfall, in which a rare microflora has now long ceased to exist, is actually only one of the romantic buildings in the valley that have been built for the amusement of the virginity. Even the water is fed into the waterfall by an artificially created drive from the Stropnice River. In Terina's Valley is in addition to the local flora, and a large number of artificially planted rare trees, of which are probably the most famous two cynaises at the Blue House, where the Countess Theresa has given up in the summer to the then fashionable life in nature. In April, it is a beautiful stroll in almost alone. In summer, there's probably a bigger rush, and you'll have to go somewhere further behind the lonely. You can go through one hour, but more than three hours
Just amazing place with a breath of history.
Nice place to walk. This place has multiple walking routes, most of them being around 1-2h, which makes it very doable with kids. At the end of the main route, there is a nice man-made waterfall. Parking at the main parking lot is not free, and you have to say in advance how long you are going to stay and pay based on that. Which is strange, as you may not know that when you are going for a walk. If you drive a bit on, you can however, park for free at the old parking lot that was used years ago. All in all, its a nice place for a walk.
