At Delfinario, see dolphins juggling basketballs, flying through hoops, and shooting goals in a large pool surrounded by lush vegetation. Catch one of the four daily shows between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. After each show, you can swim with the intelligent mammals, rub their bellies, and take pictures with them. Let the dolphins take you for a ride, flip you into the air, and kiss you. Other residents you can spot roaming freely including pelicans, seagulls, and iguanas. Note that the dolphins here are kept here in captivity; if that upsets you, you may want to avoid the dolphinarium. The show was poor but good was set our expectation in swimming with the dolphins were 5 in the group 3 women my son and a 12 year old boy approx. The Instructor had no mastery over the animals did not come to his call did not listen to him at all it was very long until the dolphin did with each his grace Porq although it should have been with two dolphins one of them would never come even if he called him . At times when the two dolphins appeared, they would turn around and dive as angry to the point when one of them hit my son in the groin and caused him in addition to pain a huge bruise. Everything was failing until q in the last test the dolphins turned back abruptly or dived and hit the trainer very his leg to the point that they had him lift between two people. Definitely the ladies q were with the child decided to end the tour and ran out of the paprika, my son and I had already left. Everything was so disastrous q I told Mr. Q that we had been taken and returned the Half of what I paid with a thousand justifys that none of them formed. I knew that it was risky Porq are animals but I find it riskier even when they put a person in front that does not dominate the situation. I don't recommend it at least in that place.
My 13 year old daughter really wanted to do this. I was hesitant because I don’t really believe in animals in captivity & wasn’t sure how well the dolphins are treated. I paid 89 (CUC tourist) for me ... more »
When you're around ten years old, swimming with dolphins seems like one of the coolest things in the world. It is not: In the wild, dolphins swim up to 100 miles a day in a straight line. Here they don't have space! They are not happy while performing tricks and swimming with humans!! THEY ARE NOT HERE TO ENTERTAIN AND EDUCATE!!!! Keeping another animal in captivity for our own needs is not acceptable in our modern society. Please, don't visit places with animals in captivity! Empty the parks, empty the tanks!!!
The Delfinario is located in a natural mangrove lagoon near the Chapelin Marina. There are usually 2 dolphin shows (about 35-40 minutes each) daily, at 11:00 am and 3:30 pm. After the show you can get your pictures taken with a dolphin (on a plateform, not in the water) for an extra 5 CUC. Visitors can also swim and interact with the dolphins (approximately 20 minutes) and get to perform different tricks with these graceful animals.
