Cayo Levisa, Pinar del Rio Province

#4 of 9 in Nature in Pinar del Rio Province
Known for its black coral, Cayo Levisa invites you to its white sands and crystal clear waters for some fun in the sun. An abundance of palm trees and beach chairs line the sands, providing plenty of space to kick back in the shade as you take in views of the Gulf of Mexico. With some luck, you can find exotic marine life such as starfish as you snorkel or dive in the island’s calm waters. Retreat to one of the beachside bungalows or grab a bite and drink at one of the many eateries located on the island. • Very nice beach, white sand, coconut tree.... Unfortunately the sea was troubled so the water unclear. Fair buffet (good fish, meats to avoid) our room (tropical) was dirty, unacceptable!! Very good cocktails at the hotel bar and the waiters are ADORABLE! Very quiet at night, no animation.

  • We had 2 Nights there because it was Part of a Round Trip. The Round trip was a total fall Because there is absolutely nothing to see In Cuba The Plant itself is very nice, but there are big Problems with Electricity and Water Supply. This is well known in Cuba, but here again a much bigger Problem, because the Water supply Is directly linked to the Electricity Supply. . The Food at the Buffet is spartan, but combined with Event chef just yet to endure. The Offer is more of a Joke, yet it varies a bit every Day. You can be more happy about that, because that won't be the case in the Rest Of the Round trip anymore. Unfortunately, the Weather was bad, but we were able to do it. Book a Snorkeling Trip. The Choice of exotic Fish seen while Snorkelling was minimal, but better than no Fish. In Florida or Egypt you have 10 times more of them and in the Caribbean you have all the more! For a Day Trip, the Island is clearly worthwhile in good Weather. We only ask ourselves where the Day Trippers come from than actually, because the Surroundings such as the Vinalestal Valley are more of a Joke and a maximum of an organic ghetto. The Prices of the Hotel in The Cutout are also a super Joke and completely unrealistic. Our whole Round trip with Mountains & Sea was based on Fantasy Prices and was not worth the Whole thing in the Approach. We've never had so little Equivalent Per Euro on any Holiday so far. And we had clearly booked that as a Holiday and not as an Expedition or Educational Trip ...

  • Beautiful beach with loads of tiny crabs.
  • Beach is beautiful, lovely water. But to get here you have to get a ferry which is 35 CUC pp (35$ each approx) you get a nice lunch and a water or soft drink. You can spend the day here but it is expensive better stay in an airbnb nearby 10 min walk from the port (we stayed in villa gustavo y mary and it was ace!)
